Rajkumar Hirani’s 3 Idiots, starring Aamir Khan, Madhavan, Sharman Joshi and Kareena Kapoor, was a mega blockbuster.

The film has also become the highest grossing Hindi film in Tamil Nadu where it has managed to get a whooping collection in its very first week. As we know that a leading production house has bought the south Indian remake rights, the big question in Kollywood circle is who would be doing the lead roles.

Sources say, if all goes well Illayathalapathy Vijay who has expressed his desire to work in the film will play Aamir khan’s role Rancho. As the story focuses on the education system in India, the actor feels the film will work big time in Kollywood.

Noted cameraman Ratnavelu has been approached to handle the camera for the film, which is likely to have music by Vijay Antony. Actor Jiiva is also being considered to play the role of Raju, played by Sharman Joshi. While the search is on for choosing the lead for Farhan’s role, which was played brilliantly by Madhavan in the original.
