‘Recently, I watched the film ‘3 Idiots’ was just awestruck with the making style, it’s ingredients and a social message that has influenced present-age people to a greater magnitude’ says Shankar, who is busy now shooting for the patch-up works of ‘Endhiran’.

Adding more onto this, the filmmaker said that he would like make such films that surely have a great impact on audiences.

The latest buzz around Kollywood is that Ilayathalapathy Vijay has signed up with Gemini Film Circuit to do the Tamil remake of Aamir Khan’s Raju Hirani directed blockbuster 3 Idiots.

Vijay has agreed to do the film and is on the look out for a director to take over the project. As per sources Gemini Film Circuit has signed up Cameraman Ratnavelu for the project.

The directors who are in the race to remake 3 idiots with Vijay are Shankar,Vishnuvardhan, Dharani etc. In the remake Vijay will play Rancho, the character made memorable by Aamir, while Prakash Raj is likely to do Bomman Irani’s role as Virus.

If this project kick starts soon it will surely be a milestone film for Vijay in his carrier.
