From long time there is a buzz that veteran filmmaker Shankar will be directing the Tamil remake of Hindi block buster film ‘3 Idiots’. It was also confirmed that Ilayathalapathy Vijay will be playing one of the lead roles in the film and Harris Jayaraj will compose the music.

Recently there was a buzz that milky beauty Tamannaah was approached to play the lead role in the film but she rejected the offer. On clearing all the airs, Tamannaah says “No, the reports are not true. I have not been offered the role so far. The Hindi original is a huge hit and I am hopeful that the Tamil version too will be equally big.”

Sources say that if Tamannaah is offered to play the role in the Tamil version, it is for the second time she would play the role played by Kareena Kapoor. For the first time it was in Kanden Kadhalai’, which was inspired by bollywood film ‘Jab We Met’.
