The latest update regarding the shoot of Vijay�s current movie is that, Vijay who is busy shooting for his next movie, directed by Siddiq, will continue with the same and the shooting would get completed on first week of October.

And once Vijay completes shooting, he is all set to get on with his next movie titled VELAYUDHAM, directed by Raja from October 3rd. The Velayudham team is currently on break and would resume as soon as Vijay is back on October 3rd.

Another important news regarding Vijay s upcoming movie is that, the title of the movie has been officially confirmed as KAAVALAN.

Kaavalan, directed by Siddiq would be a remake of Malayalam hit Bodyguard and Asin will play the lead along side Vijay and Vidyasagar would score the music. The movie is almost completed and plans are ahead to release the movie on Diwali.

Meanwhile Vijay is also making himself ready for a string of movies, that he would be signing after Velayudham, for which official announcements are still awaited.

Latest update regarding Vijay's KAAVALAN shooting is that, its currently going on at Prasad Studios , where a fight sequence is being shot.Care is being taken to assure no outsiders are allowed, and no cellphones are used to avoid leakage of scenes. Vijay has put immense effort for this movie and believes that, this movie would be a turning point in his film career and his life too.

Although Velayudham was started with much fanfare and the photo shoots are over, looks like Vijay has put it on the back burner for the time being. For at least one month, to be precise. He still has some unfinished business for Kaavalkaran turned Kaaval Kadhal turned Kaavalan, which is in its final stages of production. He is expected to finish up the patch works for Kaavalan by the end of this month and move on to Velayudham after that.

Kaavalan is the remake of the Siddique-directed Malayalam hit Bodyguard that had Dileep and Nayanthara. Directed by Siddique himself, the Tamil version of the comic caper has Vijay and Asin playing the lead roles.

Vijay’s new film with Siddique has gone for a title change for the third time. When the film started had the MGR film title ‘Kaavalkaran’ hoping to cash in on the ever green popularity of MGR films. But when the original producers of the MGR movie Sathya Movies objected, the title was changed to ‘Kaaval Kaadhal’.

But the second title did not find encouraging reactions from even among Vijay fans. So now the title has been again changed to ‘Kaavalan’.

Another major development with the film according to sources is that director Shakthi Chidambaram has purchased the film lock stock and barrel including its negative rights. This sudden development has taken many by surprise. When most of the Tamil community is up in arms against the film because of Asin and the overseas business is in threat, Shakthi Chidambaram’s move is being viewed with mixed reaction.

After doing quick movie like Villu, Vettaikaran and Sura. Now Star has decided to shoot his next flick ‘Velayutham’ for a long schedule of 180 days.

Source says that “Vijay will take 6 months to complete this flick. And Vijay had previously taken 7 months for his Ghilli and after so many years has opted for the same pattern”.

Its reported as that the film is an remake of Telugu film ‘Azad’ which has Nagarjuna, Soundarya and Shilpa Shetty in lead roles.

The film features Hansika Motwani and Genelia in female lead role. The film was directed by Jeyam Raja and it was produced by Aascar Ravichandran.

Ilaya Thalapathi Vijay was one star who never ran after advertising endorsements. He was first seen in a Coke advertisement a couple of years ago and there was nothing further. Even when some of his peers went aggressive with endorsement the ever peaceful Vijay remained composed and satisfied.

Its already known that Ilayathalapathy Vijay is right now busy shooting for two movies simultaneously. One is Kaaval Kadhal, directed by Siddiq, and other is recently launched Velayudham, directed by Raja.

Vijay is currently shooting for his 51st movie, which would be a remake of Malayalam movie, Bodyguard, directed by Siddiq, who had directed the original version as well.

The latest update is that, the movie is right now being shot in various locales in Chennai like Ecr,Ennore..etc and the shoot for this movie will go on till October. And in the mean while, Vijay would be shooting for his 52nd movie, Velayudham too. The shooting of Vijay?s 51st movie will get over by October and the movie is being planned to be released for Diwali.

Sources also said that as the ‘Manmadhan Ambu’ combo has awed the audience with a biggest blockbuster like ‘Dasavatharam’ few years back and on the other side, Vijay will be coming with different looks and change in story line not like his previous films, much craze is going on among both the fans and kollywood town.

We already have knowledge that director Shankar is remaking the super-hit Hindi movie 3 Idiots in Tamil and Telugu. As in the case of any Shankar movie, the news mill never seems to close. When it was first decided that Vijay will enact Aamir Khan's role in the movie, Madhavan and Silambarasan were roped in for the other two roles. It was Madhavan's turn first to opt out of this movie due to his prior commitments. Now the latest is that Silambarasan is also out of the project.
